The NorthForge3D Trident Build Begins

Dual Gantry Trident – Coming Soon

The forge is officially lit.

Today marks the start of active development on the NorthForge3D Trident — our dual-gantry proof-of-concept platform and the machine that will shape the engineering foundations of the upcoming NorthForge3D Deuce.

This isn’t a kit, a mod, or a remix.
The Trident is our motion laboratory: a place to experiment, refine, and perfect the behaviors that will define a next-generation North American 3D printer.

What You Can Expect

  • Frequent development logs right here on the site
  • Open GitHub commits as the gantry, motion system, and electronics take shape
  • A full YouTube build series once hardware arrives
  • The ability to follow every step, from CAD concepts to synchronized dual-gantry motion
  • Future Trident kits, so the community can build, test, and experiment alongside us

Why Start Here?

The Deuce will be a fully enclosed, production-grade IDEX machine — but before we get there, we need a platform designed for rapid iteration, high-speed testing, and aggressive motion experimentation.

That platform is the NorthForge3D Trident.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be:

  • Designing two separate gantry variants
  • Building and testing each outside of a full printer
  • Refining belt paths, bearings, and toolhead choreography
  • Publishing every breakthrough publicly

The entire process is open.
Every commit. Every log entry. Every step forward.

The next few weeks will be fast, messy, iterative, and full of progress — exactly how open development should be.

Welcome to the NorthForge3D Trident.
Watch the fire grow.
