2020 Aluminum Extrusion — Why We’re Building a Trident First
2020 is ubiquitous.
We can order it from any supplier on the continent and evaluate their quality before asking them to retool an entire production line
Open-source development logs, printer builds, and 3D printing knowledge from NorthForge3D.
2020 is ubiquitous.
We can order it from any supplier on the continent and evaluate their quality before asking them to retool an entire production line
Today, we placed our first official component order for The Deuce — and it wasn’t just any order.
It was for a set of custom 0.9° ultra-precision stepper motors, built exactly to our
specifications and paired with fine-lead screws
When designing a next-generation 3D printer, every engineering decision matters.
Motion systems define print quality, reliability, noise levels, accuracy, resonance behavior,
and how far you can push a machine before quality begins to fall apart.
Because 0.9° motors provide twice the steps per revolution, the controller can position the toolhead with finer mechanical precision.
