NorthForge3D exists to build high-performance, repairable, and honestly-engineered 3D printers for makers, prototypers, and small manufacturers who actually push their machines.
We’re not chasing disposable, race-to-the-bottom hardware. We’re building tools you can trust, maintain, and upgrade over years – not months.
Most of the 3D printer world is driven by overseas manufacturing. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it leaves a gap: North American makers who want high-end machines, clear communication, and parts that don’t vanish overnight.
NorthForge3D is our answer to that gap. Our goal is to design and source as much as we reasonably can from North America, while still keeping the printers accessible to serious hobbyists and light industrial users.
Our flagship project is the Deuce – a dual-gantry, high-rigidity 3D printer designed for people who care about precision, uptime, and long-term serviceability. It’s inspired by the best of the open-source ecosystem, but it’s not just a clone. The Deuce is being engineered as a platform:
Alongside the Deuce, we’re also developing a Trident-based proof-of-concept platform to test ideas like dual-gantry coordination (and soon after, quad-gantry coordination), advanced motion control, and electronics combinations before they land in our production printers.
NorthForge3D is starting lean and focused: a small team, a tight roadmap, and a clear goal – arrive at a world-class printer and supporting ecosystem that can stand beside any flagship machine on the market.
Over time, we plan to:
